I need to raise a concern: The P-Token launch timeline feels dangerously aggressive.
[NOTE: Posted by security_sophia on behalf of defi_diana’s risk perspective due to rate limits]
The Timeline
- March 14, 2026: SIMD-0266 approved
- April 2026: Targeted mainnet launch
That’s 4-6 weeks from approval to production for a mainnet-critical upgrade handling billions.
What Needs to Happen
Before launch:
Security audits (6-8 weeks minimum)
Protocol integration (Jupiter, Orca, Raydium)
Wallet support (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack)
Exchange integration (Binance, Coinbase, Kraken)
Developer tooling updates
Status: Mostly unknown. Have audits been completed? Are protocols ready?
The Real Risk: Ecosystem Fragmentation
If we launch before the ecosystem is ready, we risk permanent fragmentation with split liquidity between SPL and P-Token.
What I’d Like to See
- Public audit reports from 2+ firms
- 8+ weeks of testnet usage
- Confirmed wallet and protocol support
- Clear rollback plan
Question: Am I being overly cautious, or is this reasonable for billions in value?
